User and Reference Guide for the Intel® C++ Compiler 14.0
The following applies to Microsoft* Visual Studio* 2008.
To support batch-mode execution, the Integration Tool includes the IntelSpecific command-line option. This option may be used to select the Intel® C++ Compiler or the Microsoft Visual C++* Compiler during command batch-mode execution. The syntax of the batch-mode invocation is:
devenv.exe solutionfile.sln /build solutionconfig [ /project projectnameorfile [ /projectconfig name ] ] /IntelSpecific <compilername> <{compilerversion]>
where:
/IntelSpecific is an option of the Intel® C++ Compiler Integration Tool.
<compilername> is a parameter to the /IntelSpecific option. It can have the value Intel or Microsoft.
<[compilerversion]> is an optional parameter to the /IntelSpecific option. It specifies the name of an installed Intel® C++ compiler, which will be used during the build process. The <[compilerversion]> parameter must appear in quotes. This parameter is useful only when multiple versions the Intel® C++ Compiler are installed.
Before executing a new /build command, be sure you know which <[compilerversion]> parameter was used to previously build the project. To avoid mixing Visual C++* compiled files with the Intel® C++ compiled files, use /rebuild command to force a full rebuild.
If the solution is associated with more than one platform, the solutionconfig parameter must be enclosed in quotes and contain the platform name (For example: "Debug|Win32"). The following is a sample command line:
Devenv.exe /rebuild "Debug|Win32" hello.sln /out "build.out" /IntelSpecific Intel "Intel® C++ 13.1.xxx"
where .xxx represents the 3-digit build number.
If you specify a Visual Studio* 2008 project or solution file with a Visual Studio* 2008 project on the command line, the /IntelSpecific option will not work.
