Preparing the Code

To begin this tutorial, extract the files from the <install-dir>/Samples/<locale>/Fortran/mic_samples.zip archive file to a directory where you have write and execute permissions.

You will use the following files in the LEO_tutorial folder:

• LEO_tutorial.sln

• LEO_tutorial.vfproj

• tbo_sort.F90

Prepare the project by doing the following:

1. Start Visual Studio and open the solution file, LEO_tutorial.sln.

2. In Solution Explorer, right-click Solution 'LEO_tutorial' and click Intel Composer XE > Use Intel C++ to use the Intel compiler.

3. In the toolbar, click the Solutions Configuration list and then click Release. Click the Solutions Platform list and then click x64.

In the next step, you will compile the code into an application that runs on both the host and target and then run the application.
