Preparing the Code

To begin this tutorial, copy the source code from the Samples directory and then set the environment variables to use the compiler.

Copy the source code from the archive file <install-dir>/Samples/<locale>/Fortran/mic_samples/LEO_tutorial/tbo_sort.F90 to a directory where you have write and execute permissions.

Setting the Environment Variables

Before you can use the compiler, you must first set the environment variables by running the compiler environment script compilervars.sh or compilervars.csh with the intel64 argument

To set the environment variables:

  1. Open a terminal session.

  2. Run one of the scripts with the intel64 argument. The following example uses compilervars.sh:

    source <install-dir>/bin/compilervars.sh intel64

where <install-dir> is the directory structure containing the /bin directory.

In the next step, you will build the code into an application that runs on both the host and target.
